REAPING THE MERKELWIND

There is nothing wrong with immigration from one country to another, assuming the motives of the immigrants are positive in nature.

And there is nothing wrong with Muslim immigration from one country to another.

But there is something wrong with opening a floodgate of immigration to people from violent, anti-western countries with little or no vetting of who they are and what their motives are.

Which brings us directly to Angela Merkel\’s Germany.

What, exactly, did Chancellor Merkel expect would happen when she opened the doors to hundreds of thousands of people from war-torn countries – largely uneducated people with little in the way of modern work skills, whose cultural background is antithetical to just about everything Germany is today?

I don\’t know the answer to that question; you\’ll have to ask Ms. Merkel.  But I do have a pretty good idea of what it is doing to the country she leads.

Women have made at least 90 criminal complaints to policeabout the harassment by gangs at Cologne\’s main railway station on Thursdaynight.

Germans have been shocked by the scale of the attacks, involving many groups of drunk and aggressive young men.

Witnesses and police said the men were of Arab or NorthAfrican appearance.

Mrs Merkel called Cologne Mayor Henriette Reker on Tuesdayand expressed her “outrage over these disgusting attacks and sexualassaults”.

The chancellor said everything must be done “to findthe perpetrators as quickly and comprehensively as possible and punish them, regardless of their origin or background”.

Up to 300 women demonstrated against the violence near thescene of the attacks on Tuesday evening. One placard read: “Mrs Merkel!Where are you? What do you say? This alarms us!”

There is an intense debate in Germany about refugees andmigrants, who arrived in record numbers last year. But Mayor Reker urged peoplenot to jump to conclusions about the Cologne assailants.

“It\’s completely improper…to link a group thatappeared to come from North Africa with the refugees,” she said, aftercrisis talks with the police.

Cologne police chief Wolfgang Albers called it “acompletely new dimension of crime” and rejected criticism of his force\’shandling on the night.

Women were also targeted in Hamburg and Stuttgart in similarattacks, but on a smaller scale.

“It\’s completely improper…to link to a group that appeared to come from North Africa with the refugees”?  When witnesses – i.e. the people who were there – said that is exactly who they were?

Who do you suppose you should link them too, Ms. Merkel?  Canadians?  Equadorians?  Chasidic Jews?  Little green Martians?

Look, the fact that these acts were committed by people of “Arab or North African appearance”  does not guarantee that they were the perpetrators.  But, while it is not 100% certain, it is close enough so that this belief is far from jumping to conclusions.

And while it does not in any way mean that all, or even most, Muslim immigrants from the countries involved are OK with what happened in Cologne – not by a long shot, not even close – can we agree that there is at least something of a correlation here?

The bible says”For they have sown the wind, and theyshall reap the whirlwind” (Hosea 8:7 in case you\’re interested). I wonder when Chancellor Angela Merkel realizes that this verse has herimmigration policies written all over it.
