This latest installment of the Real Racism series comes to us from symone sanders, Bernie Sanders’ press secretary.
She was on CNN’s “Wolf” today, with Ben Wikler of moveon.org. The show was guest-hosted by Brianna Keilar.
These three were discussing possible candidates to chair the Democratic National Committee (DNC). During the discussion sanders sang songs of praise to the Black supremacist and racist keith ellison. She also floated the possibility that South Carolina Democratic Chairman Jamie Harrison, who also is Black, might be selected.
Why these two? Maybe these verbatim quotes will provide the answer:
“In my opinion we don’t need white people leading the democratic party right now.”
“I’m here for the millennials and the brown folks”.
That racist enough for you?
And, if that were not ugly enough, neither comment resulted in so much as one word of push-back by either Wikler or the Keilar. In fact, the “millennials and the brown folks” line generated a broad, approving smile by Wikler and a happy laugh and smile from Keilar.
Just curious: how much air time has CNN given to charges, based on little or nothing, that Donald Trump and Steve Bannon are racists?
Evidently, this racism – this overt, indisputable, unquestionable racism – is OK. It’s the good kind of racism. The racism folks at CNN like.
Real racism. It comes in all forms from all sources. No group is immune to it or from it. Certainly not a Black racist like symone sanders, and her two grinning-idiot kiss-ups on today’s “Wolf” show.
