….I am reposting the blog I put up on July 15th, two days later:
UGLY, BUT UNAVOIDABLE, SUSPICIONS/ASSUMPTIONS ABOUT THE ASSASSINATION ATTEMPT
I can’t tell you how much I wish there was no reason to write this blog.
But a would-be assassin was able to get on the roof of a building within range and with an unobstructed view of where Donald Trump was speaking. And we are being told to believe that:
-it was just a whoopsie little mistake that the roof was not secured – despite the unmistakable vulnerability to an assassination attempt it provided…
-and no member of a highly trained secret service detail, specifically charged with protecting Trump, noticed there was a would be assassin on the roof with a rifle…
-…even though more and more video has come out showing people who saw, and loudly pointed out, the would-be assassin to law enforcement personnel.
Yet despite his visible presence and all those warnings, the would-be assassin was unimpeded by secret service in any way – and only addressed/taken out AFTER he set up and AFTER he fired the shots which barely missed killing Trump, but did kill one person and severely wound two others.
It is hard – VERY hard – to avoid suspicions/assumptions about what happened that I wish to hell there was no reason to have.
One other thing: the head of the secret service – who has the final responsibility for what is described above – says “The buck stops here”. But she is not resigning. And Biden is not firing her.
Again: it is hard – VERY hard – to avoid suspicions/assumptions about what happened that I wish to hell there was no reason to have.
How I hope those assumptions/conclusions – those unavoidable assumptions/conclusions – are wrong.
It is now a year later. And, I am saddened – sickened – to say, I have neither heard nor seen anything that would cause me to change a word.
