OBAMACARNAGE: ANOTHER BACKTRACK (ARE THERE ANY MORE LEFT?)

President Obama has done it again.

He waived the mandate for corporations, large and small, to offer ObamaCare for one year.

Then he extended the corporate waiver another full year for small corporations, and provided the waiver for up to 30% of the personnel in large corporations.

Then, only after millions of people lost their insurance coverage because it did not comply with ObamaCare\’s often-absurd requirements, he told the insurance companies they could continue to offer non-compliant coverage for another year.

And now?

Excerpted from Elise Viebeck\’s article at thehill.com:

TheObama administration is abandoning a surprise plan to alterMedicare\’s drug coverage after withering criticism from Congressand K Street.

Medicare chief Marilyn Tavenner alertedlawmakers Monday that her agency would not go forward with a proposalto give insurers more leeway to limit the number of drugs they coverfor Medicare beneficiaries.

Criticsargued that making the change, which was designed to save money, would have hampered seniors\’ access to necessary drugs.

Democratsworried the issue would hurt them in the midterm elections, and HouseRepublicans had scheduled a vote this week on a bill blocking theregulation from going forward.

Theabout-face is the latest example in which the Obama administrationhas changed its healthcare policies to try to benefit the president\’sparty

If the change had gone forward, only three classes of drugs – cancer, HIV and anti-seizure medications – would have been subject to those rules.

We understand what this means, don\’t we?  We understand what the inference is if President Obama was going to make it harder for older people to get necessary drugs…like to address cancer and protect them from seizueres –  don\’t we?

How do you define a “death panel”?   Got your answer in mind?  Good.  Now tell me how your definition differs from a panel which comes up with ways of making it harder for senior citizens to get these kinds of drugs.

ObamaCare is an unworkable monstrosity.  The only way it can be “sold” to the public is by either pushing it back in time so they won\’t realize what a disaster it is until after they\’ve voted, or by hoping they can somehow pass through policies like what you just read about.

This time the “death panel” policies were undone.  But what about next time?

I hope everyone thinks about this long and hard before casting their ballots this coming November.
