OBAMA & CO.: LYING ABOUT THE VA SCANDAL

From Jim McElhatton\’s article in yesterday\’s Washington Times, which references a document the Times received through the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA):

TheObama administration received clear notice more than five years agothat VA medical facilities were reporting inaccurate waiting timesand experiencing scheduling failures that threatened to deny veteranstimely health care – problems that have turned into a growingscandal.

VeteransAffairs officials warned the Obama-Biden transition team in the weeksafter the 2008 presidential election that the department shouldn\’ttrust the wait times that its facilities were reporting.

“Thisis not only a data integrity issue in which [VeteransHealth Administration] reports unreliable performance data; itaffects quality of care by delaying – and potentially denying -deserving veterans timely care,” the officials wrote.

“Youmean the specific allegations, that I think werereported first by your news network out of Phoenix, I believe?  We learned about them through the reports. I will double check if thatis not the case. But that is when we learned about them and that iswhen I understand Secretary Shinseki learned about them, and heimmediately took the action that he has taken.”

Another of the many – damn near countless – instances in which either Barack Obama or one of his fart-catchers stands in front of the press and pretends that he gets his information not from his daily briefings, numerous advisors on every issue, and the many other people who report to him, but by reading the newspapers and watching the TV.  “Gee, I didn\’t know a thing about that until yesterday.  Just like you.”

Liars.

Does anyone in this administration ever tell the truth about anything?
