NANCY PELOSI\’S WAR ON WOMEN

When is it ok to wage a war on women – more specifically, one woman who has gone to war and served our country more than honorably?

The answer:  When Nancy Pelosi wants something that waging such a war may accomplish.

Confused?  Read this excerpt from the beginning of Emma Dumain\’s article for rollcall.com and you won\’t be:

HouseDemocrats are continuing to pick at Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi\’srefusal to allow Rep. Tammy Duckworth – a double amputee Iraq Warveteran whose pregnancy has made her unable to travel – to vote byproxy in leadership elections this week.

Membersand aides are privately seething over what they see as Pelosi\’slatest attempt to stack the deck against Rep. Frank Pallone Jr.,D-N.J., who is runningfor ranking member on the Energy and Commerce Committee againstPelosi’s closest friend and fellow Californian, Rep. Anna G. Eshoo.

Andmany members are concerned about the optics of not allowing Duckwortha proxy vote when Democrats are supposed to be the party that fightsfor women. Democrats have tried to make electoral gains by toutingthe “When Women Succeed, America Succeeds” economic agenda.

Does this surprise you?

Do you really think Nancy Pelosi – who made sure dozens of businesses in her district got a pass on ObamaCare while inflicting it on everyone else, who told us that the bill would have to be passed before we could know what was in it, who just this week lied to our faces about knowing jonathan gruber, etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. – would be worried about acting fairly, or ethically?

Tammy Duckworth is a woman, a double amputee and 8 months pregnant.  She deserves better than this….about 1,000 times better.

How do you think media would handle this if it were Republicans doing this?  How many days of how many articles with how many howls of indignation and how many editorials decrying their hatred of women would there have been by now?

None of this, of course, is lost on Nancy Pelosi.  She is nobody\’s fool.  She knows that our wonderful “neutral” media have bent over for her and fellow Democrats in promoting the idiotic premise of a Republican “war on women” for so long, that when she actually does make war on a woman – a real one –  for her own purposes, they will look the other way.  As proven by the one-day-and-out treatment this story has gotten from most of them.

And in case you think Pelosi is the only one, we have that hard-left defender of women, Rep. Rosa DeLauro (D-CT) backing her up, on the grounds that she doesn\’t want to set a precedent.

Set a precedent?  For what?  46 year old pregnant double amputees getting the vote?  How many more instances of this does DeLauro think there are going to be?

These people have no shame, and no conscience.  I only wish that the Republican blowout was big enough to get rid of both of them.
