Thank you Noah Rothman of hotair.com, for pointing out in your latest blog that MSNBC – the home of left wing agitators demanding, among other things, that people of means pay more and more taxes – is overloaded with tax delinquents.
It turns out that MSNBC\’s lineup includes:
-Joy-Ann Reid: almost $5,000 in overdue taxes;
-Toure Neblett (who likes to call himself just Toure…evidently thinking his name is some kind of household word, like Madonna or Hillary. It isn\’t): almost $60,000 in overdue taxes;
-Melissa Harris-Perry: about $70,000 in overdue taxes;
-al sharpton: Now we\’re talking millions.
Look, I certainly understand that hard times can hit people and it may be difficult to pay taxes. But these are not out-of-work plumbers or store clerks, they are TV show hosts and have other gigs besides. They make a lot of money.
Everything else aside, the spectacle of that many MSNBCers railing about how the well-to-do get away without paying their fair share, while not even paying what they presumably consider the unfair share that is asked of them, is simultaneously funny, ironic and pathetic.
Some might say that it would be a good idea for these four (and however many others are in the same boat over there) to just be quiet about taxes until they are paid up. But not me. I say, keep it up, Joy-Ann, Toure, Melissa and al.
After all, show hosts are supposed to be entertaining. And it is certainly entertaining to watch people attacking themselves.
