I\’m going to continue from yesterday\’s deconstruction of the crap CNN fed its readers about the Middle East with just a few more examples.
-In the 1973 “Yom Kippur war”, it would have been nice for CNN to mention why it got that name: because Egypt attacked on Yom Kippur, the holiest day of the Jewish year, when the most Jews would be in prayer and unready to fight. Why would CNN leave this out?
-The 1981 conflict with the PLO forces which overran southern Lebanon (not a “war” with Lebanon – a country which did not want the PLO there in the first place), Israel did not attack, it finally reacted to repeated attacks and terrorist events emanating from there. To read CNN\’s account, you\’d swear bloodthirsty Jews were going after poor innocent PLOers. Do yourself a favor and read this account, from the Jewish virtual library. It is loaded with easily verifiable facts and provides a chronology of the events which actually took place. Then compare it to the crap that CNN expelled at you and see the difference.
I could go on. But what\’s the point. Anyone, who would still give any credence to the CNN piece is immune to reality after reading this blog and yesterday\’s, is immune to reality, and it therefore would be a waste of time.
