Alton Sterling and Philandro Castile were Black men who were shot and killed by police in the past week.
For the umpteenth time I will remind readers that we do not – repeat, we do NOT – have all of the facts for either shooting.
What we have is two videos which do not – repeat, do NOT – definitively indicate whether the shootings were justified (one of them doesn’t even start until after the shooting took place). We have yet to hear either officer’s side of what happened.
But, for days, mainstream media, a number of mindless, pandering politicians, and certain “clergy” – including at least one famous Reverend who only seems to show up when a racial angle can be mined – have pumped us with definitive assurances that these were two cases of Black men essentially being murdered in cold blood by cops.
The fact that we still don’t know the facts? Irrelevant’n’immaterial. The decided-upon narrative, absent all the facts, was that these were racial killings. That’s what they went with, and that is all we heard for days.
How instrumental was this dishonest, incendiary “reporting” to the deaths of five Dallas police officers, the injuring of seven more, and the shooting of random White people (Tennessee) and a police officer in Georgia?
We can’t know for sure. But it is entirely reasonable to speculate that some of their blood is on the hands of those media “journalists”, mindless, pandering politicians and that clergy.
And now we have this, courtesy of Jim Hoft’s blog at gatewaypundit.com:

The New Black Panther Party is heading to Baton Rouge this weekend to protest the “pig department.”
What is this? It is a hate-filled, racist group, with a history of avidly supporting racial violence, announcing its members will head to Louisiana to “protest” an entire police department for what one officer may or may not have had a good reason to do – complete with the offensive use of the term “pig” to describe all police.
Will the same media which had no problem making good and sure this turned into the racial firestorm which spawned this response even bother to report it?
Will the same politicians and the same Reverend who did nothing but pour gasoline on the fire even bother to mention it, let alone condemn it?
Racism is an ugly thing. And there is no doubt that racism exists in the United States (as it does everywhere else, in most places far worse – a little something the race hucksters conveniently overlook). That is bad enough in and of itself.
But the fact that most media, and some politicians and religious figures have worked hard to inflame racial tensions – even as they piously whine about fairness and tolerance – is disgusting.
What hypocrites. What frauds.
