It’s over. Each of Michigan’s 83 counties has certified its final vote. And Donald Trump has won the state by about 10,700 votes.
The Board of State Canvassers must approve this total – that happens on November 28. But it is a formality.
So now, with a total of 306 electoral votes, the “We don’t like who won so we’re going to scare the crap out of electors and try to get them to change their votes” crowd will need to convert 38 electors….while holding every Clinton elector in place (one of them says he will be voting for Sanders instead), for Ms. Clinton to overturn the election.
I have no doubt they will keep trying.
But now, given the virtual impossibility of this happening, maybe – maybe – Hillary Clinton, the beneficiary of a successful overturning of the election, will finally tell them to stop; that she does not want this done in her name.
Let me end with a question for mainstream media: if this had been reversed, and Donald Trump people were attempting to convince/coerce/scare electors into voting for him instead of Clinton, would you have said something about it by now – such as demanding that Trump step up and tell them to stop?
If you’re wondering why the public has such low regard of you guys, the fact that you didn’t do this when you thought it might possibly result in a Clinton win, is why.
