Can it really be 50 years since Martin Luther King was assassinated in Memphis, Tennessee?
Yes it really is. April 4th, 1968, on the balcony of his motel room.
Have things changed since Dr. King was so horrificly gunned down?
Yes, some things are, 21 extent or another, better. But, sadly , other things are no better and some are even worse.
We still have a long, long way to go.
How I wish we would all abide by Dr. King’s exhortation to judge people by the content of their character, and not the color of their skin. What a far better world it would be.
May Martin Luther King continue to rest in peace.
And may none of we, the living, rest until his dream of equality is fulfilled.
