Apropos of nothing political…
I don’t often put up movie reviews. But in this case I’m going to, because, based on its uniformly rave reviews, my wife and I, with another couple, eagerly saw “Manchester By the Sea” this afternoon.
The good news? The acting is superb.
The bad news? The movie is at least a half hour too long. And the subject matter is so dark, so grim, that, by comparison Dolores Claiborne was a feel-good little romp.
OK, back to politics, where dark and grim is standard operating procedure.
