lois “the liar” lerner is scheduled to testify before the House Oversight Committee this morning, starting at 9:30AM.
Will she testify this time, or try to invoke the fifth amendment?
If she does try to invoke the fifth amendment will she immediately be cited for contempt – with all appropriate legal avenues used to force her either to testify under oath or suffer the criminal consequences? I certainly hope so.
And if she does testify, will she be asked to explain how she could have done nothing wrong, when the emails which have been released appear to make it crystal-clear that she was neck-deep in the effort to stop groups critical of President Obama\’s policies from getting the same tax-exempt status that so many groups supportive of Mr. Obama had little trouble getting?
We\’ll find out shortly. And her come-uppance can\’t take place soon enough.
(Then we can all tune in to Chris Matthews\’ show on -where else? – MSNBC, to find out that this is just “obscure” stuff, and get to the serious stuff, like whether Chris Christie knew about a couple of lane closings on the George Washington Bridge.)

UPDATE: This sack of manure is pleading the fifth. Not answering any questions. Not even about whether she is seeking a delay before testifying – which has nothing to do with the issues, only the timing.
Issa has adjourned the committee because lerner will not answer anything. I would assume – hope- expect – that she is going to be criminally charged.
But now Elijah Cummings, the ranking Democrat, is angrily demanding to ask questions after the adjournment. Issa told everyone that they can listen or leave as they so choose, but the committee is adjourned. And Cummings is going nuts….which I guarantee you will see on the news tonight.
The Republican members of the committee have left, but the Democrats are staying as Cummings rants on.
This is a circus.
