Here is another example, from the endless supply of left wing celebrity and media types who are proud to display their incivility toward President Trump in a way that, had they said anything even fractionally as offensive about Barack Obama, might well have summarily ended their careers.
From actor Robert De Niro – the latest in a series of equally offensive comments he has made over the past year:
“What amazes me is that (Donald Trump is) such a bad con artist. Bernie Madoff was a guy who was low-key. I make no excuse for him: what he did was horrible and awful; monstrous. But Trump is in your face every day doing something that is absolutely — what word can I use? He’s just a slob. He’s a pig.”

Yes, the left – especially the celebrity left – hates Donald Trump. And, yes, there are no filters necessary for people on the left who hate Mr. Trump. No price to pay. Just step up to the plate and hit one out of the park. Your likeminded pals will cheer you on…
…just as Trump supporters will harden their support,,,
and just as independents will become more and more uncomfortable with haters like you, thus more and more likely to sympathize with Trump.
I wonder if the De Niros of the world will ever figure out how important they were to Donald Trump’s election. And how intrinsic they can be to his re-election campaign.
