No need for me to write this blog. Though not the way I would have written it, the guts of the blog have already been written for me.
Click here for David Strom’s angry, insulting, but usefully detailed piece on who and what Jason Arday was, how he wound up being a hot-shot academic at Cambridge without any legitimate credentials and what the fact that he was eagerly accepted as such tells us about how White guilt can play out. How it can turn into something that, instead of redressing the very real scourge of racism, just creates another form of it.
When, where, how does it end? Can it ever end? I wish I had any hope the answer would be “yes”.
