Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) has announced that she is running for the United States Senate.
At first glance this seems laughable. Why? Because Crockett has, er, distinguished herself by, among other things:
-Making one imbecilic comment after another (I’ve probably written a half-dozen blogs about this over the past year);
-By showing her political thinking process to pretty much be that whatever the question is, the answer is racism;
-Changing her way of speaking, depending on who she is speaking to. White audiences get her real speech pattern (she was raised upper middle class and went to private schools) and Black audiences are insulted with her ghetto patois.
Like I said, at first glance this seems laughable.
And, y’know, at second glance it seems just as laughable.
Lucky for the people in Texas, unless there is some major unforseen event between now and next year’s election day I don’t see a way she wins.
