JAPAN STEPS UP. NOW: WHERE’S EVERYONE ELSE?

North Korea is in the end stages of making itself a nuclear power.

North Korea has told the United States – not just threatened but told us – it will attack and destroy us.

North Korea has told the United States it plans to fire missiles around all sides of Guam – US territory with 6,000 of our military stationed there.

Now, Japan based on the threat this poses to its own territory and – importantly – on its mutual defense agreement with the United States – has warned that it is ready and willing to shoot those North Korean missiles down.

From Lukas Mikelionis’s article at foxnews.com:

In such a scenario, Japan has the right to activate its Aegis destroyer missile defense system, Defense Minister Itsunori Onodera said during a session of the National Diet, Japan’s parliament.

Any attack against Guam would be considered an existential threat to Japan, the defense minister said, also citing a mutual defense agreement with the United States.

Japan, therefore, stands in support of the United States as North Korea tells the world it is going to use its nuclear weapons to attack us.

Now:  where the HELL are the rest of our allies?  When do our supposed friends around the world go on record as condemning North Korea and showing support for the USA?

I won’t even bother to ask where the UN is.  I assume it is too busy cooking up the next reason to condemn Israel for something or other, so it hasn’t got the time to worry about potential nuclear holocaust.

I thank Japan for its clear words of support.  Yes, I understand that it is partly because North Korea is an unwelcome neighbor who puts Japan in jeopardy as well, so there is self-interest involved.

But isn’t there self-interest for every other country in the world that there not be a war between the USA and North Korea?

As usual, these “friends” just shut up and let us go it alone.  But do you doubt  for one second that they will call on us to save their sorry backsides if the situation reverses?

It’s not like it hasn’t happened before.
