In the great tradition of Bill Clinton, who did nothing to Paula Jones but wound up paying an $850,000 settlement for what he did….
….the IRS is now going to pay a $3,500,000 settlement for the class action suit brought about by conservative groups whose applications for tax-exempt status were put in limbo – in some cases, for years – resulting in limited donations to them during the 2012 elections.
The IRS also settled another lawsuit – complete with an “apology” from the IRS (as if that means anything to anyone) for its selective scrutiny of groups that had names suggesting they were opposed to Boss Obama.
The IRS, under Tax Exempt Commissioner lois “liar” lerner, claimed none of this ever happened. But now the IRS is paying up, because – of course – it was done. And, obviously, contributed to Barack Obama’s re-election win over Mitt Romney.
I’m sure the fact that, under Trump, taxpayers (who else funds the IRS) are paying a fine for what he and his people did to cheat their way to re-election is highly amusing to Barack “there was no scandal in my administration” Obama.
Frankly, I’m not amused at all. Not by what happened, not by what it resulted in, not by the lies told by Mr. Obama…
…and certainly not by the fact that lois “liar” lerner is not in jail for what she did on his behalf.
