I won’t try to describe the ugly situation Israel faces – and, make no mistake about it, Jews internationally – in today’s 1930’s-all-over-again climate. I will give you four links (with many more available, I assure you):
Israel to close British consulate in retaliation for sanctions
Political warfare against Israel, led by Russia and China
IAC urges Ed Sheeran to drop Macklemore after anti-Israel act
Portuguese Artists Drop Out of Jerry Seinfeld-Headlined Festival
And this is before we get to the horrific Israel/Jew hating that is currently in vogue across the United States.
I’ll say it again. This is the 1930’s all over again.
After 58 centuries, we shouldn’t be surprised. Let’s just hope enough people of good will exist today for it not to get to where it has gotten so often in the past.
I would lie to say I am confident.
