Israel has spent almost a year decimating hamas and has now done the same to hezbollah.
This is an unbearable humiliation for Iran, their financier and training source.
Predictably, in order to retain (regain is more like it) its standing as something more than a ridiculous paper tiger, Iran has directly attacked Israel.
Iran is the world’s single most prolific source of terrorism. It is hated and feared by much of the world, very much including much of the Arab world.
And Iran’s “leadership”, the source of this terrorism, is despised by many of its own people – as has been shown in the major demonstrations that have periodically occurred within its own borders – and have been brutally taken down by its “leadership”.
How has Iran maintained its ability to act this way? In a word – a name, actually – the answer is Biden.
The Biden/Harris administration, despite its outward assurances that it supports Israel, has literally been its financial savior.
Donald Trump sanctioned Iran every way he could and froze billions of dollars in Iranian assets, thus leaving the mullahs without funds to finance their international terrorism.
Yet, implausibly/incredibly/unbelievably stupidly, one of the very first things Biden did upon taking office was to remove the sanctions and unfreeze something like 10 billion dollars in funds, thus putting Iran right back in business….with the horrific results we have seen over the past years.
But now, as Israel retaliates against Iran – which there is absolutely no doubt it will do – Biden, along with the rest of the anti-terrorism world, has a golden opportunity.
He/they can join with Israel and remove this ugly terrorist source from existence. Or he/they can back off, attack Israel for daring to protect itself instead, and whine about a “ceasefire” as some kind of solution, instead of the reality that it would insure Iran’s terrorist mullahs stay in power to continue their horrors.
Do Biden (more exactly, the handlers who have been running this country during his senility) and the others have enough integrity, enough courage to do so?
Being a realist, and a student of recent history, I am not at all confident this will happen. But I recognize that this the exact moment when it could happen.
Let us hope that, for once, the right thing is done.
