A four year old video of a substitute teacher being terrorized by “students” in the “class” she was sent to has just materialized. Please click here to watch it…but first prepare to be deeply disturbed and absolutely outraged.
The Chicago powers that be are telling us that this is unacceptable behavior (Wow, thanks, guys. What other surprising news will you be letting us in on?). But that they have worked hard to fix the problems.
Does anyone think this isn\’t still happening in the same Chicago schools today?
As I have pointed out in previous blogs, only a tiny fraction of students in Chicago are educated to a satisfactory proficiency level in math or reading.
Maybe the fact that “students” like this are not immediately tossed the hell out of schools – not just charter schools but public schools – has something to do with it.
