Iran has lost its proxies in Gaza (hamas) and Lebanon (hezbollah), along with the equipment/goods they were handed.
Iran has lost its pal bashar al-assad, thus the access – not to mention equipment/goods Syria had been given
Donald Trump, who froze Iran’s assets and sanctioned it every way he could – until those sanctions were eliminated when Joe Biden executive-ordered them out of existence – is about to be President for the next four years, during which he is sure to implement them again.
And now we have this, courtesy of Amir Daftari’s article for Newsweek, via msn.com:
Iran’s currency, the rial, has plummeted to a historic low, trading at 777,000 rials to the dollar as of Wednesday.
This marks a significant decline from 703,000 on the day Donald Trump won the U.S. presidential election in November. The sharp drop comes amid escalating regional tensions and an ongoing energy crisis in Iran, exacerbated by severe winter conditions.
The economic turmoil has forced Iran to shut down schools, universities, and government offices nationwide. Meanwhile, Iranian Central Bank Gov. Mohammad Reza Farzin announced efforts to stabilize the currency by injecting $220 million into the market.
Iran’s economic struggles reflect the broader affect of international sanctions imposed over its nuclear program and the ongoing geopolitical tensions in the Middle East. Despite its vast natural gas and oil reserves, the country faces energy shortages due to years of underinvestment and sanctions.
How much longer? How much longer will the Iranian people – many of whom still remember the days when Iran was ruled by a Shah who – though also a terrible, corrupt leader – allowed them greater freedoms than they have now and who was not fomenting terrorism around the globe as their murderous rulers are now, endure this before they revolt?
My crystal ball broke this morning, so I can’t tell you for sure if, or when, this will take place. But the day it does will not surprise me in the least. It will, however, elate me, and give me hope that the people of Iran can rid themselves of the excrement stains currently in charge of their country.
May it happen as soon as possible.
