Donald Trump, the most obvious reactionary in contemporary politics, is, I am very confident, about to unload on Ted Cruz. Big-time.
Why am I so confident that it is going to happen…and why am I virtually certain it is going to happen in the next couple of days – maybe even today?
Because the latest poll in Iowa – conducted on behalf of Bloomberg News/The Des Moines Register, show that Cruz has taken a huge upward leap, and has blown right past Trump – he\’s 10% ahead on “first choice” and 16% ahead on “first two choices”:
Uh oh.
Donald Trump\’s history is to tell us what a “great”, “fantastic” person someone is….when that person is singing his praises — and immediately telling us what a turbocharged jerk that same person is if he/she either criticizes Trump or embarrasses him in some way.
Well, Trump used to be leading in Iowa. So it is not hard to conclude that the above data are embarrassing, wouldn\’t you say?
Which means, get ready, Ted. If The Donald stays true to form, you are now, officially, “Cruzing” for a bruising.

UPDATE: Well, that didn\’t take long. On today\’s Sunday Morning show, Trump told host Chris Wallace, “You look at the way he\’s dealt with the Senate, where he goes in there like a – you know, frankly, like a bit of a maniac. You\’re never going to get things done that way.”
Donald Trump apparently is in a competition with President Obama, to see who has the thinnest skin.
Right now, Trump is winning.
