The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has spent more than $600 million of available funds to serve noncitizen migrants in fiscal year 2024, and now, according to Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, the agency doesn’t have enough funding left over to make it through the rest of the hurricane season.
“The agency is being stretched as it works with states to assess damage from Hurricane Helene and delivers meals, water, generators and other critical supplies,” the Associated Press reported.
Hurricane Helene made landfall in Florida last Thursday, then plowed through Georgia, the Carolinas, Tennessee and Virginia, flooding towns and killing more than 160 people.
“We are meeting the immediate needs with the money that we have. We are expecting another hurricane hitting,” Mayorkas said. “FEMA does not have the funds to make it through the season.”
Mayorkas made his comments as Joe Biden and Kamala Harris traveled to the Southeast for photo ops amid the devastation left in the storm’s wake.
A total of $640.9 million has been spent to feed, clothe and house noncitizens.
Over $640 million dollars handed to people who have no legal right to be here, but have been allowed to come in by the Biden/Harris administration, then transported to places around the country (with “red” states – Texas in particular – being handed a disproportionate share of them).
The result? Now, when our own citizens need the funds that are being bestowed upon these illegals, there isn’t enough available.
And who is to blame?
If you ask Democrats, and most of our wonderful “neutral” media, it’s the fault of those damn Republicans because, earlier this year, they rejected a “bipartisan border bill” that solved all the problems.
Except…
…that doesn’t account for the three years of unlimited border access allowed by Biden/Harris until this bill was floated…
…and doesn’t explain how a bill that would allow almost 2,000,000 illegals to come in each year can possibly be called a solution…
…and doesn’t explain how a bill can be “bipartisan” when almost every Democrat voted for it and almost every Republican voted against it.
I sometimes wonder if there is any limit to the number of lies the public can be fed this way…and whether there is any limit to the capacity for some people – the SIPs (either too Stupid and/or too Ignorant and/or too Partisan to face reality) to believe them.
