…here, from Benjamin Brown’s article for the New York Post (did you really think the leftward LA Times or SF Chronicle would admit to this) is what happens to visitors who stay in hotels:
California is hopelessly in debt. Hopelessly overtaxed. With its most productive citizens leaving by the hundreds of thousands.
And Gavin Newsom’s brilliant “solution”? More taxes. Guaranteed to drive even more of the productive citizens from the state.
There is a lesson to be learned here. One that Gavin Newsom, and all too many of his supporters, seem incapable of learning.
I’ll end by moving to the opposite coast and ask this question: Are you paying attention, Mayor mamdani? Or is New York City, under your leadership, going to follow in the same path (as seems to be the case)?
