….how come its leaders aren’t on the front lines fighting Israel? How come they are living ultra-luxurious lives in Gaza’s richest neighborhoods and in Qatar, presumably with the money suckers like the United States keep sending them to help the Gazan people?
Article 8 of the hamas covenant states:
“Allah is its target, the Prophet is its model, the Koran its constitution: Jihad is its path and death for the sake of Allah is the loftiest of its wishes.”
If I were a hamas leader who actually believed that, I’d be running, not walking, to those front lines to put up my life for Allah.
But not these guys.

It’s been a busy last few weeks for Israeli troops battling Hamas terrorists in the Gaza Strip. In addition to uncovering large caches of munitions and complex tunnel networks snaking beneath hospitals, U.N. facilities and schools, soldiers have located the luxury residential complexes that until recently were home to some of Hamas’ most senior – and, apparently, most pampered – Hamas leaders.
“It’s a neighborhood of homes belonging to Hamas leaders and very wealthy people,” Col. Elad Tzuri, commander of the IDF’s 7th Brigade, told Fox News Digital in a phone interview from the neighborhood in the southern Gaza city of Khan Younis, roughly 2 miles from the Mediterranean coast.
“The leaders lived here in very nice homes,” he said. “In the neighborhood where I am right now, we found the home of Gaza’s deputy prime minister. It’s a big and fancy house. …. They lived a fancy life here and were not ashamed of their wealth.”
Michael Nahum, chief operating officer of the Center for Peace Communications, a D.C.-based think tank, told Fox News Digital, “The more lavish homes in Khan Younis belonged to Hamas stalwarts and their families, many of whom are originally from there.
“The corruption of Hamas’ leadership class has been an open secret for years.”
“The paradox of Hamas leaders living lavish lives, while their people starve, is nothing new for Palestinians and the broader Arab world,” Khaled Hassan, a political risk and intelligence analyst with over 13 years of experience working in the Middle East, told Fox News Digital.
“Their leaders and middle-rank militants run a Mafia-like style of governance,” Hassan added. “They force Palestinian women to marry their rapists, regularly seize property and businesses by force, as well as attack, mutilate and murder their Palestinian political opponents. Yet, they want you to believe that they hold the moral high ground.
“By eradicating Hamas, Israel is paving the path for a safer, more prosperous Middle East.”
These are Gaza’s “leaders”; the ones that benighted idiots, many from expensive, highly rated (until now) colleges and universities, are marching on behalf of. Waving “palestinian” flags on behalf of. Chanting the second half of hate Israel/destroy Israel slogans, after their masters – the ones with the bullhorns – cue them with the first half.
When do they wake up and realize the Gazan people, like the 1,200 – 1,400 Israelis on October 7, are their victims? That hamas has completely subjugated the Gazan people. Fed them nothing but hate and violence, including in the “schools” – which, it should never be forgotten, are overseen by the United Nations Relief Works Agency UNRWA, which has no problem with it happening? Turned so many of them into little more than useful tools, who can be sent out to fight and die for Allah while the “leaders” live like kings and queens?
From the looks of things right now, the answer is they aren’t going to wake up any time soon. We’re talking about high minded (in their opinion), knowledgeable (in their opinion), righteous (in their opinion) hard leftists who “know” who the oppressors and the oppressed are/who they should be intolerant of and should hate. Like those damn Jews.
And when it comes to intolerance and hate, no one – no one – takes a back seat to the hard left.
