The way to be a complete schmuck in one easy lesson is, if you happen to be the President of the United States, allowing yourself to be interviewed by an Independent Counsel, who has put together a staff overloaded with your political enemies, yet has found nothing to charge you with after over a year of trying, and is desperate to come up with something – anything at all – he can pin on you in any way, shape, manner or form, so he will not look as ridiculous as he currently looks … especially when the President in question has an ongoing, uncontrollable propensity for spontaneously bloviating about everything that pops into his head, regardless of the circumstances or potential consequences.
