How much longer will it be before Pete Hegseth is gone as Defense Secretary?
Now that, according to Gabe Whisnant’s article at Newsweek, Hegseth’s Chief of Staff, Joe Kasper, has resigned – the fifth resignation this week – and there has been a second incident of highly sensitive – possibly classified – information being discussed with people who have no business being privy to it, something has to be done.
I don’t care how stubborn and egomaniacal Trump is, there has to come a point when he recognizes that Hegseth was a horrible choice.
Secretary of Defense is too important a position to eff around with. The sooner we have a real one, and not a TV personality who used to be in the military but has no experience in – or, apparently, talent for – such a challenge, the better.
Do the right thing, Mr. President.
