For days I have been blogging about the massive corruption in Minnesota – almost all of it emanating from the Somali community – involving upwards of a billion dollars that we know about so far, and the fact that Governor/former Vice President nominee Tim Walz, despite knowing this was going on, has yet to do a damn thing about it.
I would ask what you thought of the major network coverage of this huge-beyond-belief scandal. But I would be wasting my time.
Why? Because as of today, not one of the three major networks – CBS, NBC and ABC – have reported it.
That’s right. Not one second of coverage.
Read all about it in Jorge Bonilla’s article for newsbusters.org.
After fully detailing the breadth of this scandal, Mr. Bonilla ends this way:
This is, without a doubt, a scandal of massive proportions that continues to unfold. And yet, a search of the legacy nightly news over the past week yields absolutely nothing.
Had such allegations of corruption unfolded in, say, Florida you’d never hear the end of it. But, as is often the case with these things, they appear to be (D)ifferent. The double standard wins again.
Barring the related arrest of a very senior elected official, expect the legacies to say nothing about this scandal unless President Donald Trump says something about it, in which case the story becomes Trumpwashed and whatever wild thing Trump says about it becomes the scandal.
Does he have a point? You tell me.
How can you possibly trust these people to provide you with the news?
