You cannot make this stuff up.
Hillary Clinton’s campaign – the beneficiary of a mega-rigged system in which She started out with 95% of the unappointed, unelected “superdelegates” to Bernie Sanders’ 5%….
Is complaining that Bernie Sanders is rigging the system by trying to get superdelegates.
Hard to believe? Well, believe it; this is for real. Read the following excerpt from Nick Gass’s article at politico.com and see for yourself:
Clinton’s press secretary Brian Fallon on Tuesday remarked that it is Sanders who is trying to rig the system by attempting to court superdelegates currently allied with Clinton.
“Really, I think when you talk about rigging the system, that’s what Sen. Sanders is trying to do now,” Fallon said in an interview with CNN’s “New Day.” “Hillary Clinton has won in the popular vote by a wide margin. She’s got more than 2 million votes over Sen. Sanders in all of the contests when you add them all up.”
Reiterating that Clinton has won more states and pledged delegates, a point the candidate has stressed herself in recent days, Fallon commented, “So now that’s forcing Sen. Sanders to go out and talk about the idea that he wants to try to flip superdelegates and get him to overturn the will of the people as expressed through who’s won the most contests.”
While acknowledging that Sanders’ campaign is permitted under the rules to seek out those superdelegates, Fallon said that his point “is just that if anybody’s trying to rig the system right now to overturn the will of the people right now, it’s Sen. Sanders.”
Don’t you love it? Hillary Clinton, who was handed hundreds of superdelegates on a silver platter before so much as one vote was cast, sends her fart-catcher out to whine that Bernie Sanders, who is daring to try and get some of them on his side – and is 100% within the Democrat party’s rules to do so – is trying to “rig” the election.
What hypocrisy. What gall. What dishonesty.
Oh, wait. This is Hillary Clinton.
Never mind. Just business as usual.
