HILLARY\’S BENGHAZI COVERUP?

If this is true – and can be proven to the satisfaction of the public – Hillary Clinton\’s political career is over.

Excerpted from Sharyl Attkisson\’s blog at thedailysignal.com:

Asthe House Select Committee on Benghazi prepares for its first hearingthis week, a former State Department diplomat is coming forward witha startling allegation: Hillary Clinton confidants were part of anoperation to “separate” damaging documents before they wereturned over to the Accountability Review Board investigating securitylapses surrounding the Sept. 11, 2012, terrorist attacks on the U.S.mission in Benghazi, Libya.

Accordingto former Deputy Assistant Secretary Raymond Maxwell, the after-hourssession took place over a weekend in a basement operations-typecenter at State Department headquarters in Washington, D.C. This isthe first time Maxwell has publicly come forward with the story.

Maxwellsays the weekend document session was held in the basement of theState Department\’s Foggy Bottom headquarters in a room underneaththe “jogger’s entrance.”

Whenhe arrived, Maxwell says he observed boxes and stacks of documents. He says a State Department office director, whom Maxwell described asclose to Clinton\’s top advisers, was there.

“Shetold me, \’Ray, we are to go through these stacks and pull outanything that might put anybody in the [Near Eastern Affairs] frontoffice or the seventh floor in a bad light,\'” says Maxwell. Hesays “seventh floor” was State Department shorthand forthen-Secretary of State Clinton and her principal advisers.

“Iasked her, \’But isn\’t that unethical?\’ She responded, \’Ray,those are our orders.\'”

Is this true?  I don\’t know.

Should – must – it be fully investigated?  That I do know.  The answer is a resounding yes.

That said, I would not in any way be surprised if mainstream media – the fawning, loving  mainstream media whom Hillary Clinton and Hubby Bubba own like you own your social security card – will try and bury this if they can.  And I mean before determining whether or not there is any truth to it.

To do that, however, may require successfully defaming Deputy Assistant Secretary Maxwell.  Are they up for it?

Hey, it\’s already started in the left wing blogosphere.  David Weigel of slate.com is ridiculing Maxwell\’s account and suggesting he may just be a disgruntled incompetent.

But the bottom line here is that if it can be shown that Mr. Maxwell (whom I do not know much about and cannot speak for) is accurately describing what happened, you can kiss Hillary Clinton\’s chances for the Presidency goodbye.

Stay tuned.
