When you are a solidly Democrat/left candidate, and if you win it might well be the difference between a Republican and Democrat senate, you would have to be a special kind of lowlife scumbag for the New York Times to publish a damning article about you.
Well, the New York Times has just published a damning article about Maine’s Democrat candidate for the senate, graham platner.
You can find the Times article here. But it is behind a pay wall and I can’t quote from it.
Instead, let me show you Matt Margolis’ article which references the article. Here is how it begins:
If Maine Democrats were already nervous, they should be in full panic mode now. Just days after Graham Platner sat down with Senate Democrats and told them straight to their faces that nothing new would come out about him, the New York Times dropped an investigative report that should be the end of his candidacy.
The Times relied on more than two dozen sources, including six of Platner’s former romantic partners, whose stories are backed up by texts, social media messages, and diary entries. The picture that emerged was rather ugly: heavy drinking, serial infidelity, emotional abuse, and physical intimidation.
Platner promised his party this moment would never arrive. He lied.
Even before this article was published, so much negative material about graham platner had come out that Democrats should have been demanding he step down, even if it meant that Republican incumbent Susan Collins would almost certainly win the election. We’re talking basic decency here.
And now? So far, crickets chirping.
I can’t wait to hear from Senate Minority Leader chuck schumer – that nice Jewish boy who had no problem supporting platner – a confirmed Israel hater who wore a nazi tattoo for almost two decades, and then claimed he didn’t know what it was (a dead-on lie). Will this be enough for him to act like an intelligent human being instead of a Democrat-uber-alles artificial intelligence drone?
And what about other Democrats, regardless of religious denomination, who have spent years and years demanding that women who accuse men of the improprieties detailed in the New York Times article be condemned and repudiated?
The above-quoted article by Matt Margolis is titled,”Stick a Fork in Graham Platner, He’s Done”. And he sure as eff should be done. But – incredibly – we haven’t heard a word from any of the above-noted Democrats dumping him yet.
That speaks volumes about their sincerity, and how much they really give a damn about the mistreatment of women, doesn’t it?
