“GOOD RACISM” (CONT.)

Here is another example of what I – sarcastically – call “good racism:  i.e. racism that is foisted on us by people who claim they are against racism, but actually use it for their own (sometimes well-meaning, sometimes not) intentions.

It comes to us from Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson, who, after one year in office, has managed to descend to an unbelievably low 6.6% approval rating – down from the almost-as-unbelievably-low 14.4% in February. (I have never in my life seen any politician with an approval rating this low).

How did he become so despised in so short a period of time?

Maybe this has something to do with it:  here is Mayor Johnson, speaking at the Apostolic Church of God on Sunday, explaining to us why he has hired so many Black members of his administration:

“What I’m saying is, when you hire our people, we always look out for everybody else. We are the most generous people on the planet. I don’t know too many cultures that have play cousins. That’s how generous we are. We just make somebody a family member right? That’s just how we are.”

Got that?  Brandon Johnson is telling us that if you are a Black person – not someone he has met and talked to, but any Black person – he knows that you have wonderful, positive traits.  He knows this because those traits are inherent in all Blacks.

In other words, Mayor Brandon Johnson is saying exactly what a ku klux klansman would say about Blacks.  If you’ve seen one, you’ve seen ’em all.  The only difference is that Mayor Johnson sees “’em all” in positive terms and the klansman sees “’em all” in negative terms.

That, folks is “good racism”.  How do you like it?

Maybe, just maybe, the answer to “how do you like it” is why Johnson has that 6.6% approval rating…..
