I have blogged numbers of times about the decimation of first San Francisco (where he was Mayor) and then California (where he is now Governor) wreaked by Gavin Newsom.
But I can now report a positive accomplishment.
From Stephen M. Lepore’s article for London’s Daily Mail:
Gavin Newsom has been forced to revoke 17,000 commercial driver’s licenses given to illegal migrants after being called out by Donald Trump‘s transportation secretary.
Newsom made the crucial change amid mounting pressure by Sean Duffy after multiple incidents involving the licenses, including an October crash where three people died in a horrific highway collision allegedly caused by an illegal migrant.
‘After weeks of claiming they did nothing wrong, Gavin Newsom and California have been caught red-handed,’ Duffy said.
‘This is just the tip of the iceberg,’ Duffy said. ‘My team will continue to force California to prove they have removed every illegal immigrant from behind the wheel of semitrucks and school buses.’
There you go. Gavin Newsom’s positive accomplishment. Revoking (under duress – NOT voluntarily) Commercial Driver Licenses from people who should never have gotten them in the first place.
What a guy.
And who knows? Maybe now he’ll also be forced to rescind his executive order which disallows the sale of gas-powered cars by 2035 – which has resulted in major refineries closing in California and gas prices to soar to the highest in the continental United States….with estimates that they will rise to $8 a gallon by next year. That would be a positive accomplishment too.
Hey, a couple more thingies like this and Newsom might even produce a positive accomplishment he actually is in favor of, not forced upon him.
I’ll end with a reminder that Gavin Newsom is currently a leading candidate to be the Democrats’ Presidential nominee in 2028.
Then, what he has done for San Francisco and California, he can do for the rest of us.
How lucky can we get?
