So, have Democrats finally conceded that Donald Trump won the 2016 election and should be allowed to succeed to the presidency without further roadblocks being put in his way?
Nope.
From Nicole Duran’s article for the Washington Examiner, we have this example of a Democrat accepting the election results:
Rep. Ed Perlmutter, D-Colo., indicated Thursday that he is exploring all possible procedures at his disposal to delay certification of the Electoral College results during a joint session of Congress on Friday.
Perlmutter hasn’t committed to putting up a roadblock to finalizing the results, but his office confirmed that he is “reviewing certain laws and the U.S. Constitution as it pertains to efforts to undermine our electoral process.”
Are you waiting for other Democrats to tell Ed Perlmutter he should shut this down immediately? That the election is over. That this is snarky, bordering on immature bordering on infantile, bordering on idiotic?.
If so, then happy waiting. Because it is not very likely to happen.
Nor is it likely for mainstream media to nail Perlmutter and his cohorts or their hypocrisy. They didn’t do it throughout the other Democrat efforts to upend the elections, so they’re certainly not going to do it now.
Then these people wonder why they keep losing; what things they are doing wrong that lost them the presidency, the senate, the house, two thirds of the governorships and two thirds of the statehouses.
If I were a Republican, I’d hope they keep wondering right through 2018 and beyond. And the way things look, Republicans just may see that hope fulfilled.
