New York City is expecting a blizzard today and tomorrow. There will be an acute need for “emergency snow shovelers”. And Mayor zohran mamdani is ready to hire them…as long as they provide the necessary ID.
Am I kidding? Is zohran mamdani, who is wholeheartedly against a requirement that voters show ID, demanding ID to shovel snow???
The answer is yes.

The Democratic Socialists of America believe voter identification laws are “racist,” but DSA comrade and New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani wants you to provide a grip of IDs to have the honor of being an “emergency snow shoveler.”
How many IDs are we talking about? Five to be exact.
The NYC website for aspirational shoveler’s asks for the following documents on its application page:

No, zohran mamdani. The socialist New York voters made their Mayor last November.
In the world of mamdani, if you want to vote you can leave your ID at home. But if you want to shovel snow, you better bring at least two IDs, and a lot more.
Now, let’s all wait for Democrats around the country, most especially New York Senator Chuck Schumer, to condemn this ID requirement. To call it “Jim Crow 2”, and demand that mamdani stop intentionally preventing Black people from shoveling snow. Like they have done so loudly and clearly regarding Voter ID.
Trust me…it’s going to be a looooooooong wait.
I will end by reminding the voters who handed zohran mamdani the mayoralty: “You asked for it. You got it”.
