For whatever it is worth, reports are starting to circulate that Eric garner, the man whose “chokehold” death generated protests around the country, has an extensive criminal record.
According to Charles C. Johnson of gotnews.com, among others, Garner had at least 8 domestic abuse arrests… and that Garner had additional brushes with the law which have been sealed.
Let me emphasize that I have not yet seen enough confirmation to be confident this is true.
But, if it is, I certainly can understand the police\’s attention to his activities — it\’s not like Garner has been a stranger to them in the past.
