On April 14, a radical Islamic terrorist group called “boko harum”, which operates freely in Nigeria, kidnapped over 200 girls from a school.
boko harum, you see, does not believe females should be educated. Like so many other radical Islamist groups, it believes the value of women is as a sperm repository, house slave, and child factory for the next generation of jihadists.
For almost three weeks there was virtually no western media coverage of this horror.
But now that there still is no evidence that New Jersey Governor Chris Christie had anything to do with a couple of lane closings on the George Washington Bridge – you know, real important stuff – the fate of over 200 helpless children has become newsworthy.
So the Obama administration, ever ready to get someone in front of a camera, trotted out Secretary Of State John Kerry, fresh from his triumphs in Syria, Iran and the Israel/Palestinian Arab confli…oh, wait, forget that “triumph” thingie.
And what did Secretary of State Kerry say in yesterday\’s speech, almost 3 weeks after the kidnappings?
“Thekidnapping of hundreds of children by Boko Haram is an unconscionablecrime. We will do everything possible to supportthe Nigerian government to return these young women to their homesand hold the perpetrators to justice.”
Beautiful. A commentary – no doubt wordsmithed by some of the same people who did the same for the Benghazi massacre – which is guaranteed to generate applause and good press….while equally guaranteed to mean exactly nothing.
What is Kerry going to do? Head to Nigeria to negotiate with boko harum? Dust off his old swiftboat and roll it around Chad Lake hoping the children were moved there from Chibok?
Empty words from an empty suit. That is the hallmark of this sorry administration…and nowhere is it more painfully, poignantly obvious than in the case of these poor children, whose fate may already have been sealed.
