In Raul and Fidel Castro\’s Cuba, dissidents – i.e. people who do not like the freedomless hellhole it has been for the past 55 years – are being arrested and otherwise prevented from meeting with the Pope. And he seems to have no problem with this.
In the United States, President Obama has stocked the welcoming ceremony with, among others, a transgender person, a gay priest and an activist nun who rejects Catholicism\’s teaching on contraception and abortiondogma on abortion. And while the Vatican has voiced disapproval of these people, mostly on the grounds that pictures of Pope Francis with them would suggest he is endorsing their lifestyles, he has not refused to come to the ceremony.
Do Raul Castro, Fidel Castro and President Obama think Pope Francis is a boob? Do they think he is OK with Cuban communism and lifestyles clearly rejected by the religion he leads? Both?
Those are good questions, folks. Maybe, after Pope Francis\’s trip to the Cuba and the USA, we\’ll have our answers.
