DANA MILBANK\’S “ANALYSIS” OF THE MCULLOCH PRESS CONFERENCE

Washington Post columnist, and blinders-on leftward suck-up, Dana Milbank has written a piece about Prosecutor Robert McCulloch\’s press conference regarding the grand jury decision in Ferguson.

I tried to read it through.  I really did.  But how do you deal with something that starts with:

Fergusonreminds us that we still have a race problem in America. But the faceof this problem is not Darren Wilson\’s. It\’s Bob McCulloch\’s.

Wilson, the Missouri police officer who shot and killed an unarmed blackteenager, is……

I almost stopped reading right there.  Yeah, we get it.  Prosecutor McCulloch is a racist for informing us that a mixed-race grand jury would not indict Darren Wilson.  And Wilson shot and killed an unarmed Black teenager…..not a 6\’ 4″, 292 pound young adult who was high on marijuana (more than double the amount he would be allowed to drive with in states where it is legal) and fresh from robbing a convenience store and roughing up the owner, and was walking with his thug pal in the middle of a road.  None of that was important.

Despite this, I tried to go on.  But at the point where I read….

…noresponsible person thought Wilson\’s killing of Michael Brown waspremeditated. Even if prosecutors tried him on lesser charges ofinvoluntary manslaughter, they might well have come up empty – andmost people would have accepted that result of a fair trial.

…I gave up.  If Dana Milbank thinks no one in this mob thought Wilson had it in mind to shoot and kill a Black kid, and most of them would have been ok with acquittal on a manslaughter charge, he must be smoking more of that funny weed than Brown was.

I will end by calling Mr. Milbank incredibly obtuse – not as an insult, but because, reading the above, it is the nicest thing I can say about him.

Besides, I usually try to be nice.  And using terms like dumbass moron out of touch with reality is not nice.  So I\’ll let it go at that.
