As of 6:50, Sunday morning, CBS News\’s web site has this headline and sub-head for its lead story:
Nuclear deal with Iran officially takes effect
“though sanctions relief won\’t offered”?
I assume that, in short order, the fractured english (CBS apparently left out the word “be”) will be fixed.
I am posting it, though, because the quality of that english is about as accurate as what it is meant to convey.
Anyone who believes Iran will hold to any “deal” – even after telling us in so many words that it they have not agreed to what we think they did, needs a crash course in Iranian history….and a major common sense overhaul.
But CBS is selling it to us, by putting up that headline as if Iran\’s compliance, and the maintaining of all sanctions, are a settled issue.
They aren\’t.
