In the course of writing this blog, I have seen countless videos of people disagreeing with one another. Thousands and thousands of them I am sure. Sometimes the disagreements are pretty even – i.e. both sides do about as well in making their points – and sometimes one side seems to win out over the other.
But rarely have I seen as one-sided a video as Carly Fiorina, deconstructing and pureeing CNN\’s Chris Cuomo, over his attempt to blame the Colorado Planned Parenthood massacre on what he assures us was a wholly dishonest portrayal of the organization from the series of video tapes made by the Center for Medical Progress….video tapes which were almost completely buried by media, very much including Cuomo\’s CNN pals.
Watch the interview below, and see for yourself:
Hooboy. That is a wipeout on steroids.
Don\’t you love it when Cuomo starts off by defending Planned Parenthood, aggressively takes positions in support of everything it says, and then gives Ms. Fiorina a look of feigned surprise when she mentions that he has fallen for their line “hook line and sinker”?
And Cuomo\’s facial expressions, which seem to range from suggesting he is thinking “dammit, she has an answer, she didn\’t fall apart” to “I\’m gonna get this effin\’ bitch if it\’s the last thing I do” should not go unnoticed either.
CNN used to use the line “The most trusted name in new”. Maybe it still does.
If this typifies CNN\’s idea of a serious interview, I\’d like to ask a question: “Trusted to do WHAT?”.
