I am listening to Brett Kavanaugh is opening statement.
So far, it is an absolute blockbuster. Blunt, direct and right from his gut.
Kavanaugh, with two weeks of pent-up anger over his character assassination and the threats made against his wife and children, is forgoing any vestige of diplomacy or tact and saying, word for word, exactly what is on his mind.
Good for him.
if some of the Democrats who have participated in this disgraceful farce have any shame left, now would be a good time to display it. Sadly, however, I doubt any do or will.

It was a grand slam home run in the bottom of the 9th inning of the seventh game of the world series.
He cogently defended himself – not just with emotion but with a surfeit of facts and testimonials, including from people who were supposed to be at that party, while showing deference and compassion to christine blasey ford.
I do not know how the Democrats on this committee can try to go after him now without looking like disgusting slimeball pigs.
The most compelling and objective evidence that I have seen is the calendars that he saved from the time in question that included everything he did and with whom he did it with and there is no mention of any parrty that Dr. Ford described.
