I just read the crooksandliars.com web site (as is my habit – I try to get as much information as I can from all sides, very much including the take-no-prisoners left, which C&L most assuredly belongs to), and came upon this blog about “Project Veritas\’s James O\’Keefe, written by someone using the screen name “Marcus Crassus”. Here are the first three paragraphs:
Inthe stupid is as stupid does file, JamesO\’Keefe, a conservative film maker and would be communityactivist, wentto Canada and then crossed back over into the United Stateswearing a garb that looked like an ISIS/ISIL uniform carrying aduffle bag labeled RICIN, and all to show would be terrorists such asISIL just how easy it is to sneak into the United States from Canada.
O\’Keefe recently returned from the Mexican border where he stepped over the U.S. border into Mexico and then back again dressed as someone looking like he was from Al Qaeda, and of course all to show just how easy it is for would be terrorists who are looking at ways to sneak into the US, to do it.
I don\’t think that O\’Keefe actually understands that what he is producing actually benefits those who wish to bring harm to the United States. All this appears to be doing is trumpeting O\’Keefe\’s talking points to conservatives so he can give them something to be afraid of. It has never been any real secret that it is easy to sneak in to the U.S. from Canada or even Mexico. But O\’Keefe in his small way is trying to strike fear into the hearts of the population by going out and actually sowing the seeds of how easy it would be for some lone wolf terrorist to attack us.
Fascinating.
We are being told that O\’Keefe\’s stark reminder of how porous our borders are, how easy it is for terrorists to enter the country (not just “lone wolf terrorist”, Mr. Crassus) and how unsafe it makes us….is not only stupid (and plenty more if you read the entire piece) but helps the terrorists….even though “it has never been any real secret that it is easy to sneak in to the U. S. from Canada or even Mexico”.
I agree that the ease with which our enemies can breach those borders is no secret. Which means that our enemies are not being helped at all, because they already know this.
But we have an administration which has fought the securing of our borders tooth and nail – literally going to court to prevent greater border security in Arizona and Texas.
So the fact that O\’Keefe did this – that he was able to do this – is a valuable reminder for citizens who may have been persuaded by President Obama\’s and eric holder\’s no borders-no problem policies.
But that it just my opinion. What\’s yours? Do you think it is worth knowing that someone wearing what appears to be an ISIS uniform and carrying a duffel bag with RICIN written on it, can just stroll into the country? Does this information provide you with a reason to demand greater border security?

Oh, and while you\’re deciding, think about this as well: How would mainstream media – the same mainstream media that virtually blacked out Mr. O\’Keefe\’s demonstration of how unsafe we are – be handling this story if the President were George Bush instead of Barack Obama? Do you think it would be talking about how poor a job he was doing on border security?
