Suppose you were President of the United States, running for re-election, and you wanted to assure your party’s Hispanic members of congress that you were up to the job.
Would you show up an hour late to the meeting? Would you make the meeting an orchestrated event by pre-selecting who would ask you questions? And would you have your staff quickly end the discussion because one of the participants said he thought you should end your re-election candidacy?
How would that make you look to the people you were meeting with…not to mention everyone else?
While you’re mulling over the above, please read these excerpts from Andrew Solender’s article at (Trump-hating/Democrat-favoring) axios.com:
President Biden’s meeting with members of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus on Friday didn’t go as planned, with one lawmaker even urging him to drop his re-election bid, according to two sources briefed on the matter.
Biden was an hour late to the Zoom meeting with Hispanic Caucus members on Friday, which was held through the group’s political arm, BOLD PAC, the sources said.
- After Reps. Lou Correa (D-Calif.) and Linda Sanchez (D-Calif.) asked Biden questions, which one source described as “pre-selected,” Sanchez, the BOLD PAC chair, tried to “lightly” end the meeting, the source said.
- But Biden offered to take more questions and Sanchez called on Rep. Mike Levin (D-Calif.). He told Biden it is time for somebody else to lead the party, according to both sources. Levin later put out a statement making that position public.
In response to Levin’s comment, Biden said, “That’s why I’m going out and letting people touch me, poke me, ask me questions. I think I know what I’m doing,” according to a source familiar with the call.
- Biden said his age is a “legitimate concern for people,” but “that’s why I think it’s important I gotta get out and show people everything from how well I move to how much I know and that I’m still in good charge.”
- After Biden’s response, the meeting was ended, one source said.
Another fiasco. Another disaster to add to the pile.
There are now 19 Democrat members of congress, along with a large group of Democrat strategists and media pundits, on record as asking/telling/demanding Joe Biden end his re-election campaign…with little doubt that the number is going to grow.
But still Biden holds on. Still he defies the growing civil war his candidacy has created, which is literally ripping his party in shreds just weeks before its national convention and only about 3 1/2 months before the election.
What does that tell you about Joe Biden? Or is it his power-hungry, manipulative wife Jill – aka Lady MacBiden? Or is it his puppeteers; the ones actually running our country – running it into the ground, some would say – who know that, if Biden goes, their ownership of the Oval Office goes with him?
Whoever it is, I can assure you Donald Trump and Republicans around the country are thanking them profusely.
