This is not satire, folks. It is real.
One day after “endorsing” Hillary Clinton and – very significantly – not waiting until the Democrats’ national convention has ended – Bernie Sanders announced he is leaving the party and going back to being a political independent.

Not to be cynical about this, but since Sanders sold his soul when endorsing Clinton – after her people conspired to steal any chance he had of winning the nomination – and then was subjected to the fury of left wing voters he betrayed by doing so, maybe he thought this would be some kind of redemptive gesture.
Or, even more cynically, maybe Hillary & Co. didn’t offer him enough of a return – say, a high enough cabinet position – to make it worth his while.
Whatever the reason, this news and very especially its timing, (upstaging the speeches by VP selection Tim Kaine and President Obama) is a huge slap in the face to the Clinton campaign.
Feel the Bern yet, Hillary?
