I used to play in a Friday night poker game, with a number of guys in the neighborhood.  One of them, Arnie Weissberger – a very good player – sometimes tossed caution to the winds and bet “on the come” (i.e. he stayed in with a less-than-stellar hand, hoping it would improve when the remaining cards came out.)  Arnie’s signature comment when he did, was “When Pierre goes down, Pierre goes down in flames”.

Evidently Marilyn Mosby, in another life, was named Pierre.

Watch this video of her reaction to the charges being dropped against all remaining police officers in the Freddy Gray case, and you won’t wonder why I say this:

To quote Steve Hayward at powerlineblog.com:

She attacks the police. She attacks the judge. She says her case against the officers is solid, but is dismissing it anyway because the (black) judge is biased. And more. Then she closes by saying she won’t take any questions because of the civil litigation she faces for bringing the case. I can’t believe anything she might be asked could possibly make her situation worse than this completely unprofessional rant.

Holy excrement.  

The people of Baltimore elected this genius a State’s Attorney?  Nah, it couldn’t be.  They couldn’t possibly have made that big a mistake….

….oh, wait.  They also elected Stephanie Rawlings-Blake Mayor.

In that case, never mind.
