Eric Adams is the Mayor of New York City.
Here, from Germania Rodriquez Poleo’s article for London’s Daily Mail, is his “before” on illegal immigrants crossing the border…when they were almost entirely contained in the southwest and only a tiny trickle made their way to New York City.

then, August, 2022:
“As the mayor of New York, I have to provide services families that are here, and that’s what we’re going to do – our responsibility as a city, and I’m proud that this is a Right to Shelter state, and we’re going continue to do that.”
And now the “after” – i.e. after states inundated with the illegals Mr. Adams was so understanding of started sending New York City a somewhat proportionate share of them.
Eric Adams, yesterday:
“I turned this city around in 20 months. And then what happens? Started with a madman down in Texas, decided he wanted to bus people up to New York City. A hundred and ten thousand migrants. (We have to) feed, clothe, house, educate the children, wash their laundry sheets, give them everything they need…
…Let me tell you something, New Yorkers. Never in my life have I had a problem that I did not see an ending to. I don’t see an ending to this. This issue will destroy New York City. Destroy New York City”
Funny how that changed.
Incidentally, the beginning of yesterday’s quote is a hoot.
-What, exactly, did Eric Adams accomplish that turned New York City around in the past 20 months? Do you know of anything? I sure don’t, and I’m in New York City all the time.
-And that reference to Texas Governor Greg Abbott as a “madman”? For what, Mayor Adams? For refusing to just swallow hard and accept the millions (literally, millions) of illegals he DOES NOT WANT into Texas, leaving all the sanctimonious “we are a sanctuary city” hypocrites – like you – unscathed by the consequences of this invasion? An invasion, let’s remember, that has been orchestrated by President Joe Biden – who, the last time I checked, was a member of your Democrat Party.
Uh, Mayor Adams: have you called Joe Biden a “madman” lately? How about Secretary of Homeland Security alejandro mayorkas? They are the people who allowed the illegals – including that 110,000 you are whining about – into the country. Greg Abbott would have no one to send to New York City without them.
