BARACK OBAMA\’S HENNY YOUNGMAN MOMENT

“So this guy goes to see the doctor.  The doctor gives him 6 months.  The guy says “I can\’t pay you right now”.  So the doctor gives him another 6 months”.  Henny Youngman

So this President tells the ruler of Syria “I demand that you step down now”.  The ruler says “I\’m not stepping down”  So the President says “I demand you step down later”.  Barack Obama.

Excerpted from Ann Barnard and Somini Sengupta\’s article in today\’s New York Times:

Americansupport for a pair of diplomatic initiatives in Syriaunderscores the shifting views of how to end the civil war there andthe West\’s quiet retreat from its demand that the country\’spresident, Basharal-Assad, step down immediately.

TheObama administration maintains that a lasting political solutionrequires Mr. Assad\’s exit. But facing military stalemate,well-armed jihadists and the world\’s worst humanitarian crisis, theUnited States is going along with international diplomatic effortsthat could lead to more gradual change in Syria.

When Syrians uprose against bashar al-assad, and his answer was to murder them by the thousands, Barack Obama did nothing.

When al-assad used chemical weapons to kill his opposition, Barack Obama firmly stated that this was a red line that could not be crossed.

When Syria ignored the red line and continued to use chemical weapons, Barack Obama did nothing.

When the original anti al-assad forces became overtaken by ISIS terrorist murderers, Barack Obama did nothing.

Now that Syria is a terrorist hellhole with estimates of up to 250,000 dead, Barack Obama is changing his strategy…

…which, in the case of Barack Obama, means that, instead of doing nothing about one demand, he will do nothing about another demand.

That is the definition of “leading from behind” to Barack Obama.

It is the definition of leading with your behind to me.
