This happened three days ago. And I waited to see how mainstream media covered it before blogging my thoughts.
But since, in a cover-up that is astonishing even for Barack Obama\’s Accomplice Media, this has not been covered, I am blogging about it this morning.
Do you know who sheikh abdallah bin bayyah is? If you count on what passes for journalism these days to tell you about him, the answer is almost certainly no.
But he must be a pretty good guy. Because, in his Wednesday address to the United Nations General Assembly, President Barack Obama praised him to the skies.
While talking about how wonderful it would be to rid ourselves of radical extremists (not Islamics. No no no. According to Mr. Obama, this has nothing to do with Islam), he said these words:
Theideology of ISIL or al Qaeda or Boko Haram will wilt and die if it isconsistently exposed, confronted, and refuted in the light of day.Look at the new Forum for Promoting Peace in Muslim Societies – Sheikh bin Bayyah described its purpose: “We must declare war onwar, so the outcome will be peace upon peace.” Look at the youngBritish Muslims, who responded to terrorist propaganda by startingthe “notinmyname” campaign, declaring – “ISIS is hidingbehind a false Islam.”
That is just great. What a guy that sheikh bin bayyah (who founded the “notinmyname” campaign) must be. A true man of peace. That\’s the intended takeaway, isn\’t it?
Well, if it is your takeaway, you have been had. And I mean HAD with capital, bold, underlined letters.
Here, excerpted from Adam Kredo\’s article for the Washington Free Beacon (as opposed to the mainstream media venues which somehow over looked it) is who this “nan” actually is (bold print is mine):
BinBayyah himself has long been engulfed in controversy for many of hisviews, including the reported backing of a 2004fatwa that advocated violent resistance against Americansfighting in Iraq.
Thisis not the first time that the Obama administration has extoled BinBayyah, who also has served as the vice president of a Muslimscholars group founded by a radical Muslim Brotherhood leader who hascalled “for the death of Jews and Americans,” according toFox News and other reports.
TheState Department\’s Counterterrorism Bureau (CT) was forced to issuemultipleapologies earlier this year after the WashingtonFree Beaconreported on its promotion of Bin Bayyah on Twitter.
“Thisshould not have been tweeted and has since been deleted,” the CTBureau tweeted atthe time after many expressed anger over the original endorsement ofBin Bayyah.
However,it appears that Obama and the White House are still supportive of BinBayyah, who, despite his past statements, is still hailed by some asa moderate alternative to ISIL and al Qaeda.
Heissued in 2009 a fatwa “barring \’all forms of normalization\’with Israel”, according to a Fox report on the White House meeting.
Additionally,the notorious 2004 fatwa permitting armed resistance against U.S.military personnel in Iraq reportedly stated that “resistingoccupation troops” is a “duty” for all Muslims, according toreports about the edict.
This is the “man” that President Obama promoted to the world as some kind of moderate, against radical Isla….er, sorry, extremism – I keep forgetting?
A supporter of the Muslim brotherhood, who advocated violent resistance to US soldiers and the barring of all forms of normalization with our ally, Israel (well, it used to be our ally, until January 20, 2001).
And mainstream media do not even bother to report this?
Suppose it were President Bush and he extolled a radical rightwing dictator as a peaceful moderate. Do you think these same media would give him a free pass?
Let me end by putting up a quote from anti-terrorist consultant and regular contributor to frontpagemag.com\’s Patrick Poole:

I couldn\’t have said it better.
